Vote for August's Autovillage Player of the Month

3 September 2021

Cheltenham Town fans can now vote for their Autovillage Player of the Month for the first time this season from our selected shortlist.

Supporters will be able to choose who they think has been the top performer in Cheltenham's first-team squad from a selected shortlist each month for the fifth consecutive season in association with our stand partners at Autovillage.

Michael Duff's side finished August 17th place in League One after a solid first month in both the third tier and cup competitions - also reaching the third round of the Carabao Cup for the very first time.

You can vote for your choice in our poll below, please note this will expire at 6pm on Saturday 4th September following the MK Dons match.

More details on our nominees:

Andy Williams

Experienced striker Andy Williams started the campaign in excellent form, coming off the back of an impressive seven goals in pre-season.

The 35-year-old scored the Robins' first League One goal in 12 years on opening day, earning his side a well-deserved point on the road at Crewe Alexandra.

He then made it goals in back to back league games with a header that went on to be a consolation effort in the home defeat to Wycombe Wanderers at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Callum Wright

The re-signing of Wright on loan for a second spell proved popular amongst Robins fans and the Leicester City midfielder picked up where he left off in a Cheltenham shirt.

The 21-year-old scored and assisted three times in all competitions during August, with all of his goals coming in League One vs Ipswich Town, Fleetwood Town and Burton Albion.

He also added two assists at Bristol Rovers in the Carabao Cup, helping the club progress into the second round where they would go on to see off Gillingham.

Ellis Chapman

Another midfielder in Ellis Chapman enjoyed a strong opening to the campaign in the third tier, breaking into the team to become a first team regular at the start of 2021/22, playing a part in all but one match so far.

Operating in a deeper role, 20-year-old Chapman impressed in the Carabao Cup trips to Bristol Rovers and Gillingham, also coolly netting the winning penalty in Kent to send Duff's side through to face Championship Preston North End.

Will Boyle

Centre-back Will Boyle has once again been a key and consistent figure in the team, as he was in 2020/21's League Two title winning camapign.

The 26-year-old proved last season that he was no stranger to a goal and netted a late winner in the Robins' solitary League One victory in August vs Ipswich Town at a packed Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Boyle was man of the match in that game, also delivering a pin point cross for Wright to head home the equaliser to start the comeback against the Tractor Boys.

He also took over the captains armband at Burton Albion, following the departure of Ben Tozer late in the transfer window.
