Sean Long insists Cheltenham Town need to learn quickly from the errors that saw them fall to defeat at Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
The 26-year-old was a part of the Robins side who were overpowered by a Wigan team who are sitting pretty at the top of League One.
As an opposition they were among one of the best sides Long and his teammates will take on in the division this season, though the former Reading man says it's important that they realise the mistakes made are very costly at this level.
"It was a difficult afternoon against a very good team. They are top of the league for a reason," he said.
"We never really got going today. We didn't do any parts of the game well really but credit to Wigan, they are a good team.
"We've got to recover well now because we've got another game on Tuesday."

He will be next involved for the Robins on Tuesday at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland.
