Christian Norton will be hoping if he gets the opportunity to make his Cheltenham Town debut on Saturday that he can use his most recent Wigan Athletic experience to make a difference.
The 20-year-old arrived at the club this week after a delayed start due to injury for his loan period from Championship side Stoke City.
And it was with Stoke that he appeared in a pre-season friendly at Wigan at the end of July.
He feels that recent experience of playing at the DW Stadium may be useful, as he looks to make a positive early start in his Robins career.
"It will be a great place to start. It's a big stadium and it'll be a great experience.
"I've already experienced it briefly in pre-season with Stoke, so I kind of know the whole layout of the stadium and the atmosphere so I think it'll be a great way to kick-off the season.
"It's my first time out on loan so it's a new experience for me. The players, staff and the gaffer have made me feel really welcome."
