Michael Duff is preparing to lead his side into battle against three high quality teams in the next seven days.
On Tuesday Cheltenham compete in the Carabao Cup third round for the first time with a visit to Championship side Preston North End.
That's followed by back-to-back away trips to Wigan Athletic and Sunderland - two clubs currently flying at the top of League One.
"It's probably the most difficult week we could have," said Duff.
"Going away on a Tuesday, away on a Saturday, away on a Tuesday against a Championship team and teams that are in the top two in the league.
"This week more than ever we'll have our backs against the walls and the games might pan out slightly different."
