Reaction: Duff on Doncaster Rovers

23 October 2021

Michael Duff was disappointed that his team didn't get anything out of his side's 3-2 loss at Doncaster Rovers.

Second half goals from Alfie May and And Williams helped tighten the scoreline against struggling Donny, but proved to not be enough as the side from south Yorkshire held on for three points.

Midfield man Liam Sercombe saw his penalty saved, while Cheltenham hit the woodwork on two occasions, with Donny's on-loan Watford shot-stopper Pontus Dahlberg also forced into action to make a number of good stops.

"We missed two really big chances at 0-0. I think if you come here at the moment and you go 1-0 up it is a different game," Duff said.

"We've got to do lots of parts of the game better. Ultimately we've missed a penalty and hit the crossbar twice and been beaten by the odd goal, so I think we deserved something out of the game."
