Reaction: Crowley on Exeter City

6 October 2021

New Cheltenham Town arrival Dan Crowley was delighted to pull on the club colours for the first time in a competitive fixture on Tuesday night against Exeter City.

The talented midfielder made his Robins debut having signed a short-term contract at the weekend as Exeter came out on top on penalties in the Papa John's Trophy.

Crowley played the whole 90 minutes and immediately caught the eye as he looks to make an impact in his time at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

"It's been tough, but I want to thank God for getting me here because he has been with me all the way and he’s brought me to Cheltenham, so I am delighted," he said.

"For the first 20 minutes we were a little bit sloppy, but once we got going and started playing, we did well.

"A lot of us haven’t played together before so it was tough, but once we got used to each other, I thought we started to do well."

Crowley will now be hoping to be involved in the Robins' next fixture on Saturday 16 October when they entertain Accrington Stanley at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
