Preview: Duff on Exeter City

5 October 2021

Michael Duff is viewing Tuesday's Papa John's Trophy tie with Exeter City as the ideal opportunity to provide players with important game time.

League Two Exeter make the journey up the M5 for both club's second Papa John's Trophy southern section Group E fixture.

With no game at the weekend due to the international break, Duff wants to use the match with the Grecians to get his players up to speed who need the extra time playing time.

"The team will change but we've got people who are coming back - people like Dan Crowley, Kyle Vassell and Elliot Bonds who need the minutes," he said.

"Opportunity is the key word. It's not dictated to by the result. We'd like to get a win against but it's not the be all and end all. I just want to see certain things from certain people.

"Matt (Taylor) has already come out and said they're going to go quite strong I think so it should be a good game."
