Reaction: Duff on Gillingham

23 November 2021

Michael Duff felt his team deserved all three points on their travels to Gillingham.

The Robins chief watched on as his side made their third visit to Priestfield this season and picked up maximum points thanks to goals from Sean Long and Alfie May.

After the game Duff was pleased with the result his side picked up, but believed there was even more from the match his team could have produced.

"I thought we deserved to win the game based on chances. It's only the second time we've won away from home and kept a clean sheet. It feels like there's a lot more in there.

"I thought it was a bit too open today, a bit more of a basketball game. When we did pass the ball we opened them up.

"It's back-to-back, it's away from home, it's a clean sheet - so there are loads of positives for winning."

It's another away fixture to look forward to next for the team.

Bolton Wanderers is the destination on Saturday. Tickets and away travel are on sale from the ticket office and online.
