Reaction: Duff on Bolton Wanderers

27 November 2021

Michael Duff reflected on a good seven days for his Cheltenham Town side after their 2-2 draw at Bolton Wanderers.

Alfie May's double was twice cancelled out by Bolton who fought back to earn a point in an entertaining occasion at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Duff was happy with his team's showing against the Wanderers, especially after they had gone into the game with back-to-back wins over Shrewsbury Town and Gillingham.

"I thought we did enough to win the game. We could have been 2-0 up in the first 15 minutes," he said.

"It's a good result and an excellent performance. It's been a good week. We've taken seven points out of nine with two long trips within that.

"I thought the mentalty of the team was really good on Tuesday, but the performance wasn't great. I thought the performance was excellent today.

"We've got four defenders left so we're having to play a 4-4-2, then we end up playing 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1, and we've ended up playing 3-4-3 because that's the way the game ebbed and flowed.

"I'd imagine it was a good game of football to watch."
