Preview: May on Gillingham

23 November 2021

Alfie May is looking forward to going back 'home' to Kent once again on Tuesday night as Cheltenham Town travel to Gillingham's Priestfield for the third time this season.

Already familiar foes in cup competitions this campaign, Tuesday's contest is the first League One clash between the two clubs this season, and the fourth game between the two overall.

May scored in the Carabao Cup trip back at the start of the campaign and the agile forward is keen for the team to continue their good form when they take on the Gills.

"It's important to go there and keep doing what we're doing at the minute," he said.

"We've won the last two on the bounce and it's just trying to keep this run up of winning games.

"We've got Gillingham and then Bolton on the weekend - two tough games.

"With Gillingham we've played them that many times this season we know each other how we play probably spot on.

"It's important to keep taking it game-by-game and winning."
