Preview: Griffiths on Harrogate Town

7 May 2021

Josh Griffiths is aiming to cap an incredible first season as a professional footballer by trying to win the League Two title on Saturday.

The 19-year-old stopper has described the possibility of having a winners medal around his neck after Saturday's final game of the season at home to Harrogate Town as the "icing on the cake" of an amazing first season in the professional game.

Signed on loan from West Bromwich Albion, Griffiths is currently joint with Salford City goalkeeper Václav Hladký to win the League Two Golden Glove Award for the campaign.

As well as helping Cheltenham win promotion to League One and reach the FA Cup fourth round, Griffiths has been called up to both the England under-20 and under-21s squads in his time in Gloucestershire.

Watch his assessment of his first season in professional football and the challenge that awaits against Harrogate at the weekend above for free on iFollow and on the EFL iFollow app.
