Under-19s Football & Education programme hosting trials

23 March 2021

The Cheltenham Town under-19s Football & Education programme, in association with All Saints' Academy, are hosting an open trials event at the start of April.

Young players born between 1 September 2003 and 31 August 2005 are welcome to apply to participate in the trials which are taking place on Tuesday 6 April.

The programme acts as a development squad and allows young players to learn, train and play as part of the club's education partnership with All Saints'.

Selected members of the squad complete either their A Levels or a BTEC qualification while also representing Cheltenham Town in the CEFA League's against other clubs.

The students train throughout the week alongside their studies with opportunities for stand out performers to train with the full time under-18s scholars at the training ground.

From September 2021 onwards an 'elite' squad will operate in the CEFA South West Division 1, while a 'development' side will play in CEFA South West Division 3.

Homes matches are played at the club's training ground and the team is coached by UEFA qualifed coaches.

The trial date on Tuesday 6 April is taking place at Tewkesbury School on the 3G surface.

A first session will start at 11.15am running till 12.15pm, with a second session getting underway at 12.30pm till 1.30pm.
