Michael Duff felt his Cheltenham Town side's performance looked a bit more of what he would expect from his Robins players as they overcame Salford City at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
His team went into the first ever Football League clash between the two clubs in Gloucestershire looking to bounce back from a disappointing midweek loss to Barrow.
The response was positive, with Sean Long's early first half goal followed up by a Liam Sercombe finish shortly before half time.
Duff said after the game he was accepting of his team giving up the ball more often than normal so they could hit the visitors on the counter attack - something which led to the second goal when Matty Blair broke and Sercombe found the net.
