Manchester City shirt auction well underway

10 March 2021

Supporters can still bid for a piece of Cheltenham Town history with the auction for our match-worn home shirts against Manchester City running until next Tuesday.

Last week we launched the auction with help from our good friends at AMS hosting on their website, and 14 shirts remain up for grabs to the highest bidders until after the Barrow match at 9:30pm on Tuesday 16 March.

Michael Duff’s side were just nine minutes away from one of the biggest upsets in the competition’s 150-year existence, before the star-studded Premier League leaders hit back to win 3-1 at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

The current two players with the highest bids on their shirts are goal-scorer Alfie May and right wing back Matty Blair on £270 each but there's still plenty of time to get involved and signed up on the website.

Captain and man of the match Ben Tozer's jersey currently stands at £196, with Charlie Raglan, Lewis Freestone, Sean Long, Ellis Chapman, Chris Clements, Conor Thomas, Finn Azaz, George Lloyd, Alex Addai, Andy Williams and Josh Griffiths' shirts also available.

If you don't already have an account on the AMS website then click sign up or register, fill in the details including your email address and a password will be sent to you to login - bids will go up by £2 each time.

The official shirts worn by the Robins live on BBC One in front of 5.8 million viewers include embroidery on the front with the date and fixture details, as well as being signed by the individual player.
