For a second Tuesday in a row Cheltenham Town take on National League North opposition as part of the build up to the new League One season.

The Robins head to Edgar Street this evening for a game with last season's FA Trophy finalists, Hereford (kick-off: 7.45pm).

Originally Cheltenham were also due to play Hungerford Town this evening, however that game has been cancelled, so all eyes are on a visit to face the Bulls.

Hereford are recommending that fans buy in advance ahead of this evening's game online or by calling their club shop.

Preparing for their fourth season in the National League North, Hereford boss Josh Gowling will be hoping for no covid-19 disruptions to their campaign this time around.

Despite their league season being cut short last term they did however go all the way in the FA Trophy. They reached the final at Wembley, but despite beating two National League sides on the way, they lost the final to lower level Isthmian Premier Division Hornchurch.

They'll be aiming to challenge for promotion to the National League this coming season in a very competitive division.

The experience of former Forest Green duo Jared Hodgkiss and Yan Klukowski will be key to that, while midfielder James Vincent is another vital cog in their machine having made the move this summer from Scottish side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Another to make exactly the same move from Scotland is forward Miles Storey to add to a squad that already included the likes of ex-Newport County man Tom Owen-Evans and the versatile Ryan Lloyd.
