A new group of first year scholars have been welcomed into the Cheltenham Town under-18s squad for the 2021/22 season.
We are going to be introducing each new player to join the under-18s for the new season as they begin their two year scholarship ahead of the start of the season.
First up is midfielder Rio Spencer who after progressing through the academy has been offered a scholar by the club.
Under-18s manager Pete Haynes commented on Spencer saying: "Rio is an attacking, creative midfielder who can glide with the ball and create chances and score goals.
"He has an incredible work ethic on the pitch and a desire to learn and improve."
