Scott Flinders and Seàn Long have extended their stays at Cheltenham Town for the 2021/22 campaign.

The duo will be part of Michael Duff's squad who are embarking on a League One season after promotion as League Two champions.

They have returned alongside their teammates to the training ground this week where pre-season preparations have started successfully with a week to go to the first pre-season game at Cinderford Town.

Experienced goalkeeper Flinders has been at the club since August 2017 and is the club's second longest serving player.

The 35-year-old returned to fitness from a long-term leg injury last season and made six appearances to add to the 133 he has made in his time in Gloucestershire.

He'll be working alongside fellow goalkeepers Owen Evans and Max Harris as part of the club's goalkeeping set-up for the campaign.

Long has been at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium since June 2018 with the 26-year-old Irishman having made 72 appearances in all competitions.

He returned from injury midway through last season and played an important contribution as a versatile member of the squad. He appeared in midfield, at wing back and as a central defender, notching two goals as his third season in Gloucestershire ended in promotion.

Both players are available to sponsor for their home, away and third kits. If you are interested then please email luke.saunders@ctf.com to find out more.
