Reaction: Griffiths on Forest Green

31 January 2021

Goalkeeper Josh Griffiths made it back-to-back clean sheets as he helped keep out any threat from the Forest Green attack in Saturday's goalless draw at The New Lawn.

The 19-year-old stopper made it 13 clean sheets for the campaign as Cheltenham continued their run of having not lost away to Forest Green since 1982.

He was pleased with the way the team's outfield players dealt with the difficult weather conditions, and praised the back five in front of him as he was reduced to just making saves that came in with shots from distance.

Named in the EFL Team of the Day for his performance, he made one key save from an Odin Bailey free kick in the second period, pushing his attempt onto the crossbar.

Next up for Cheltenham is a home fixture on Tuesday night against Barrow at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
