Reaction: Duff on Newport County AFC

19 January 2021

Yet again Michael Duff lamented his team's failure to make the most of their dominance as they picked up a point in a home draw with Newport County AFC.

Matty Blair's goal on the stroke of half time sealed a point after Newport goalkeeper Tom King had scored with a freak goal against the run of play early on in the match.

Duff felt his team bossed much of the game and was frustrated that his side didn't take advantage of the chances that they created in front of goal.

He believes that if his side keep up their performance levels that results will change as long as his team can find a clinical edge.

His team's next game is in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday when Manchester City are the visitors to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Kick-off against Pep Guardiola's side is at 5.30pm and the match is being shown live on BBC One.

A unique match programme for the game is now on sale with half of the profits going to FareShare, the UK's largest charity fighting hunger and food waste.

Fans may not be able to be there against the six time FA Cup winners, but they can purchase a digital ticket, enabling them to a teamsheet and digital programme.
