An update with Michael Duff

5 February 2021

Manager Michael Duff sees the enforced week-long break will offer his squad an opportunity to regroup and prepare for a busy second half of the League Two season.

Positive covid-19 cases with players and staff have led to Tuesday's scheduled home match with Barrow and this weekend's fixture against Carlisle United being postponed.

The players and staff will be tested on Sunday, and ensuring a clean bill of health they will train on Monday ahead of Tuesday's away fixture at Harrogate Town.

Duff has also been reflecting on the deadline day loan signing of Callum Wright, the return to fitness of Liam Sercombe, Chris Hussey and Ellis Chapman, the difficulties surrounding signing permanent players during the January transfer window and the tightness of the League Two campaign this season.
