Michael Duff was pleased with the organisation and togetherness of his Cheltenham Town side as they earned a point at Crewe Alexandra on the opening day of the League One season.

Andy Williams' goal just before half time was enough to see the Robins bounce back from falling behind to Mikal Mandron's opening finish for the Railwaymen.

In Cheltenham's first game in League One since 2009 they competed well against a team who themselves were similarly in the same position 12 months before.

Duff was happy with the spirit and felt that his players thwarted any threat from the hosts, with goalkeeper Owen Evans not forced into any meaningful save throughout the afternoon.
