Michael Duff believed his Cheltenham Town side were good value for their Carabao Cup round one win at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Alfie May and debutant Kyle Vassell delivered a winning performance and a place in the second round of the competition for Duff's side who followed up their 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra on the opening day of the League One season with another good performance.
"All you can do is play what's in front of us and I thought there were some really good performances within that," Duff said.
"It was quite a young team and quite a few people didn't do themselves any harm.
"We were organised, fit, together. I won't get bored of saying it because it's been the strength of the side for two years."
