Will Boyle was delighted to play a key part in a fantastic atmosphere at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Tuesday night as Cheltenham Town defeated Ipswich Town.
The Robins claimed their first win back at League One level against a team expected to be right up there pushing for promotion come the end of the season.
Boyle was influential throughout, not only impressing with his defending but contributing to both goals.
He provided the cross for Callum Wright to head in the equaliser and then swept home inside the box from a Ben Tozer long throw in to score the winning goal in the final ten minutes.
"It's a great night to have the fans rocking at the end," he said. "It is what we've all missed - the fans and us.
"It's good to get the first win on the board and to bounce back after Saturday.
"Teams are going to have spells against us and they had a lot of the ball, but ultimately in the second half we looked the most dangerous.
"When we do turn the ball over we're looking to hurt them and I thought we did alright tonight."
