Reaction: Boyle on Burton Albion

29 August 2021

Will Boyle was left frustrated by Cheltenham Town's performance in the televised draw at Burton Albion on Friday night.

The defender felt having found a way back into impacting and controlling the game that the team abandoned that direction in the second half, thus allowing Burton an opportunity to pick up a point.

"I think we had a spell when we went 1-0 up for 15 to 20 minutes where he showed what we can do and what we work on - the patterns," he said.

"The first 20 minutes we didn't turn up. We were right on the back foot and then we've done well to wrestle the momentum back by doing what we do and what we work on through the week.

"Second half and we've come out and been like we were for the first 20 minutes. From there it's tough to grow into the game. The fans get behind them and there's wave after wave of attack and they start moving the ball. Ultimately they're working the legs off you.

"I don't think they created loads but second half it felt like they more than deserved to equalise."
