Liam Sercombe is hoping his first game back at the Memorial Stadium as a Cheltenham Town player will be a successful one in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
Both Cheltenham Town and Sercombe's former club, Bristol Rovers, lock horns in the first round of the competition to see which side will progress into the second round.
Sercombe departed the Gas for the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in the summer of 2020 having spent three seasons in BS7.
"I got on well with everyone there. I left on a good note. Hopefully I'll get a good reception but we'll see," he said looking ahead to the game.
"We want to win every game and that will be the aim tomorrow.
"Bristol Rovers are one of the favourites to go straight back up and so they should really with the fanbase they have, size of the club, I don't think they should be in League Two.
"Good luck to them but it is all on us for tomorrow and getting that win."
