Preview: Duff on Fleetwood Town

19 August 2021

It's still too early in the season for matches to define where teams will end up in League One this season believes Michael Duff ahead of Saturday's trip to Fleetwood Town.

Fresh off the back of Tuesday's tremendous home win over Ipswich Town, the Robins head north for the first of four consecutive away matches.

Highbury Stadium is the destination for Duff's men and after some good showings so far the Robins boss wants his team to deliver a performance.

"It doesn't matter from our point of view if the pressure is on them or whether they beat us or not. We have to concentrate on us," he said.

"We're three games into the season. I didn't win a game for ten games. I'm not going to say it's a big game for them, it's just the next game, the fourth game of the season.

"Saturday won't define them and won't define us in terms of where we finish in the league.

"Can we give a performance that is good enough to get a result? That's what we'll be thinking and I'm sure they'll be thinking the same thing."
