On transfer deadline day, Cheltenham Town can confirm the arrival of striker Christian Norton.

Signing on a loan agreement from Championship side Stoke City, the 20-year-old will be with the Robins until January.

A product of the youth system at Southampton, he featured in the under-23s squad for the Saints in the Papa John's Trophy, but left in the summer of 2020 and a few months later joined Stoke.

At the back end of last season he featured six times for the Potters in the Championship, starting against the likes of Preston North End and Coventry City.

In the current campaign he's made two appearances for Michael O'Neill's men with both resulting in Carabao Cup wins. This means he's cup-tied for Cheltenham's visit to Preston in September.

Internationally he has spent time training with the Wales under-21s squad, while he has nine caps for the Dragons under-19s side.

On the international stage he's scored twice in fixtures against the Netherlands and Sweden.

Norton will be available to make his first appearance for Cheltenham on Saturday in the home match against MK Dons.

His player sponsorship is now available. Email luke.saunders@ctfc.com to enquire into the possibility of becoming his home, away or third kit sponsor.

This signing is made in association with the club's official signing partners, The Little Jet Company.
