Liam Sercombe said Cheltenham Town deserved nothing from their Friday night showing at Crawley Town.
The Robins left the People's Pension Stadium empty handed for a third season in a row after Jordan Maguire-Drew's second half finish earned the Red Devils three points and a 1-0 win.
Sercombe has now called for the team to bounce back and deliver a performance on Tuesday night against Stevenage.
The midfielder felt Cheltenham failed to follow their team beliefs in the loss, and didn't make first contacts and pick up second balls.
