Michael Duff is calling on an improved performance from his players following Saturday's opening day League Two defeat to Morecambe when Cheltenham head to Championship Millwall in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

The Robins have a quick opportunity to follow up Saturday's defeat at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium with a second round outing in the Carabao Cup, albeit in a tough examination against a Millwall team who finished just outside the play-off places in the second tier last season.

Duff is looking for a better defensive performance against an opponent who play two leagues higher in the pyramid.

Millwall opened their Championship campaign with a goalless draw with Stoke City and include the likes of Iceland international Jón Daði Böðvarsson, physically imposing front man Matt Smith and Wales cap Tom Bradshaw in their attacking armoury.
