New performance analyst appointed

11 September 2020

Shaun Howl has been appointed as the new first team performance analyst at Cheltenham Town.

The University of Gloucestershire graduate now heads up the analysis department at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium and will be working with the first team management and players in his new role.

He replaces former analyst Tim Bell who was recently appointed as Head of Academy Coaching.

Howl has been involved at the club since the 2016/17 season when he served as analyst for the under-18s squad.

He then worked as an intern as assistant first team performance analyst before undertaking the role of Head Academy analyst during the 2019/20 campaign.

He previously graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and is now doing an MSC in performance analysis.

As well as his work in analysis, he has coached in the academy set-up at the club with the under-13 age group.
