Ebanks signs first professional contract

25 September 2020

Cheltenham Town are delighted to announce that 17-year-old striker Callum Ebanks has progressed through the club's academy to sign his first professional contract.

The powerful forward has featured throughout pre-season with the first team squad after returning for the second season of his scholarship with the under-18s side.

His impressive performances have seen him offered professional terms and he has now graduated to become a full member of Michael Duff's first team squad.

From Birmingham, Ebanks has been a part of the youth-setup at Cheltenham since the age of 16 having grown up playing football around his home city.

He was named amongst the substitutes for a 1-1 League Two draw at Newport County AFC last season and starred in the under-18s FA Youth Cup run, scoring four goals in an 8-4 second round win over Portsmouth which helped Pete Haynes' young squad to a third round tie against Arsenal.

He is currently recovering from an injury and is expected to return to action soon where he will wear squad number 30 for the first team.

Ebanks player sponsorship is now available. If you are interested in being his player sponsor for the 2020/21 season email luke.saunders@ctfc.com to find out more.
