Cheltenham Town can confirm the signing of Matty Blair after a successful trial.
The 31-year-old becomes the club's eighth summer signing and has featured regularly during pre-season friendlies in the build up to the new season.
He moves to Gloucestershire after leaving League One Doncaster Rovers where he has spent the past four seasons.
He is able to operate anywhere down the right-hand side and has twice previously won promotion out of League Two.
Born in Warwickshire, he started his career in non-league football with the likes of Racing Club Warwick, Stratford Town, Bedworth United, Redditch United and AFC Telford United.
He stepped up to join National League Kidderminster Harriers in the summer of 2010 and after a successful season-long stay at Aggborough he transferred to National League counterparts York City.
By the end of his first season with York he enjoyed helping the Minstermen gain promotion back to the Football League with play-off final victory over Luton Town, while also winning the FA Trophy in the same stadium a few days before as a goal scorer in a win over Newport County AFC.
Later he joined Fleetwood Town, helping them earn promotion via a play-off final at Wembley to League One, and spent the 2015/16 season at Mansfield Town before signing for Doncaster where he achieved another promotion at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Blair has now been registered with the EFL and is available to make his debut in this evening's EFL Trophy group stage match at Newport County. He has been assigned shirt number 11.
His player sponsorship for the 2020/21 season has already been snapped up, but if you're interested in sponsoring any other members of the squad please get in contact with email@example.com via email.
Blair's arrival at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium is in association with our official signing partners The Little Jet Company.
