It's frustrating that supporters have not been able to join us at The Jonny-Rocks Stadium this season. Michael Duff's side have played some fantastic football, starting the season in fine style but it's simply not the same without fans. In fact, it's rubbish.
The most disheartening thing about the whole situation is the lack of information about what happens next. We simply don't know when this will all come to an end and it makes it very difficult to plan for the future.
Parliament will debate the issue on November 9 after more than 190,000 people signed an online petition, urging the Government to reconsider. But as things stand, we don't expect to open the turnstiles in the near future so we have had to make some difficult decisions around refunds for our season ticket holders.
We have come up with three clear options: a donation, a pro-rata refund or a full refund.
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our fans during the summer but we did not expect to be in this position again, so it hasn't been easy to make this announcement. We appreciate it's a challenging time for everyone in our community but we would ask supporters where possible to consider donating the cost of their season ticket to the club. We have come up with some new ideas to show our appreciation, outlined below.
However we know that for others, it's simply not possible and we will honour every refund.
Either way we want to thank you again for your patience and understanding. Your support has been phenomenal since this all began back in March and we can't wait to enjoy a game of football together again.
1. Donate the full refund to the club
We would ask supporters to consider donating the full amount of their season ticket to club. In return for this amazing gesture we would like to say 'thank you' with the following:
- A free match pass to watch every home league game on iFollow
- A free digital programme and teamsheet by email for every home match
- Your name added to a limited edition third shirt, designed and released in March
- Your name added to a 'Wall of Thanks' displayed prominently in the ground
2. Pro-rata refund
For supporters wishing to request a pro-rata cash refund the compensation package is as follows:
- A free iFollow code to watch every home league game in the 2020/21 season
- A free digital programme for all home fixtures
- A pro-rata cash refund to recognise the fact that iFollow is not a like-for-like replacement for physically watching the match at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium

3. A full refund
For supporters requesting a full refund on their 2020/21 season ticket.
Due to social distancing measures we would ask holders to contact the ticket office in writing, either by email (tickets@ctfc.com) or by post, by Friday, October 30 (at midnight).
This payment will then be made within four weeks of the request. Match passes for our live streamed games on our iFollow channel will be available at £10 per game.
