The Robins chief felt his side had the best chances on the day against the Little Club on the Hill and should have been out of sight by the half time whistle.
Instead a first half Will Boyle header and second half finish from Andy Williams made the difference, as apart from an Aaron Collins penalty, the victory belonged to Cheltenham.
