Reaction: May on South Shields

8 November 2020

Alfie May wants to kick on from this point in the season after he bagged a brace in Saturday's 3-1 FA Cup first round win over South Shields.

Speaking to John Townley after the game the forward admitted he needed goals to give him a much needed boost having not found the net since the opening day of the League Two season against Morecambe.

He also heaped praise on the creativity of the midfield players who helped set up his chances on Saturday, with full debutant Ellis Chapman and Matty Blair involved in both of his strikes.
