The Boot Zoom

11 May 2020

Welcome to The Boot Zoom, an entertaining look back at some of the club's most memorable games alongside the players who played a key role in them.

We will be building on the success of our recent Champions Weekend, when we caught up with the legends of the club's three historic title wins.

Each week we're going to invite back a host of fans favourites to talk about their memories from some of the most unforgettable moments, joining ourselves and host Jon Palmer on the video conferencing tool Zoom.

To get things underway we will be revisiting the hard fought League Two play-off semi-final at Wycombe Wanderers in 2006, 14 years to the very day.

Captain John Finnigan, goalscorer Steve Guinan and Craig Armstrong, who went on to break his nose in the final in Cardiff, will be joining us to share their memories from inside the changing room.

We're also looking to you to bring a fan's perspective from the terrace.

Of course the list of classic matches is endless: Altrincham in '79, Alvechurch '85, Bournemouth '92, Burton Albion '97, Burnley '02, Chester '06, Leeds United '08 and Torquay United '12.

Get in touch with your suggestions and we'll do our best to make it happen.

We're also planning a special edition for the 22nd anniversary of the Wembley success this Sunday (May 17), in which supporters can also take part.

If you want to get involved to ask a question or share a memory then drop us an email at richard.joyce@ctfc.com. We'll include as many as possible.

Tune in this Wednesday at 7.30pm for a special trip down memory lane.
