Robins get behind Level Playing Field's Weeks of Action

13 March 2020

The Cheltenham Town Community Trust Disability football team and first team players have been showing their support for Level Playing Field's Weeks of Action.

This season's Weeks of Action, which highlights the positive initiatives undertaken by clubs, sporting venues and governing bodies with disabled sports fans and supporters associations, has been taking place between 29 February and 15 March.

The Community Trust's Disability team has a number of different teams that compete in the Gloucestershire FA Ability Counts League with regular training sessions every week for all of the players involved.

Clubs up and down the country have been taking part in this season's campaign.

Level Playing Field's charity chair, Tony Taylor, said: "Our Weeks of Action events highlight all the good work going on behind the scenes. It’s a chance for us to celebrate disabled sports fans’ involvement in sport and encourage more to get behind us to drive access for all.

"Taking a look back at previous years proves how important these events are, the awareness they raise and the impact they have throughout football for the benefit of disabled fans."

Level Playing Field is a fantastic resource for disabled fans to find out more about accessible facilities at stadiums in the football system while offering support, information and advice for fans, clubs and disabled supporters associations.
