George Lloyd, Luke Varney and Tom Nichols found the net as Cheltenham Town breezed past their UltimateQuaranTeam first-round opponents Salford City at Court Lane.
It was a case of two familar opponents with both teams playing in the same division but with recently appointed club eSports representative Jake McAlary in control, the virtual Robins looked a class above from the off.
McAlary's Cheltenham were off to a flying start after eight minutes (roughly 60 seconds) as the ball was squared for George Lloyd to finish into the top corner.
Salford, represented by pacey first-team winger Bruno Andrade, were then shown a clean pair of heels by Luke Varney. The 37-year-old using every inch of his experience to double the advantage when one on one just before half-time.
On FIFA they say a two-goal lead can be a dangerous one, but it wasn't to be on this occasion, as substitute Tom Nichols outragously ball-rolled the goalkeeper before tapping into an empty net with the last kick-off the game to seal an emphatic win.
Stay tuned over the next few days for details of who we will face in the second round!
