Crowe to take on London Marathon for Acorns

20 March 2020

Head of Medical Gavin Crowe is running the London Marathon to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice in October.

The event, which was due to take place in May but has been put back because of the coronavirus outbreak, will be the second fundraising challenge that Gavin has taken on in aid of the charity.

Last summer he joined the likes of assistant manager Russell Milton and under-18s manager Pete Haynes in cycling across the Italian Alps in a four day challenge.

Acorns were the club's charity partners for the 2018/19 season and provide babies, children and young people aged 0-18 years who have life limiting of life threatening conditions with specialist palliative nursing care and support.

They provide support to families across Gloucestershire and the West Midlands, operating three hospices in Selly Oak, Walsall and Worcester.

You can donate to the hospice and Gavin's challenge online via their website as they continue their work across the region to offer their crucial care and support.

Watch a video with Gavin above on iFollow as he explains more about why he's supporting Acorns as his charity for the marathon.
