Cheltenham united: season ticket renewals now open

27 July 2020

  • Season ticket prices frozen for 2020/21
  • Ages 16-22 from £3.04 per game
  • Booking fees removed
  • Five-click renewal on newly upgraded ticket system
  • Admittance to all games subject to Government guidance

Today we launch the first phase of ticketing plans for the forthcoming 2020/21 season, opening renewals for our current season ticket holders only.

We recently revealed our new home shirt and ‘Cheltenham united’ campaign, while our ticketing team has been planning the challenging task of admitting supporters next term.

The pandemic continues to have a huge impact on the football calendar and today’s details are based on the best possible information at the current time.

The EFL announced on Friday that the new season is set to get underway on Saturday, September 12 with the Government recently stating that crowds will follow on October 1.

For now, our process begins with our current season ticket holders, working to assumptions that there will be reduced capacity when football does return this Autumn.

The loyalty renewal window is open until Friday, August 7 (5pm) after which time we will take stock and assess the wider situation for the remainder of supporters.

In the event of a restricted capacity, priority access will be given to those on a first-come, first-served basis so supporters are encouraged to renew as early as possible.

The safety and welfare of our supporters is our overwhelming priority. When we receive further guidance from the Government, the EFL, League Two clubs and the Sports Grounds Safety Authority we will be able to make announcements about a general sale phase for new applications.

Season ticket renewals are easier than ever

The only way to ensure you’ll be able to watch all of the matches that we can admit spectators in some form, is to renew your season ticket this summer.

Prices have been frozen and renewals are now easier than ever after recent improvements to our ticketing system.

We used the lockdown to upgrade the system, introducing a five-click process for those with existing online accounts.

Those without access to an account will be able to make appointments with our Ticket Office to complete the process in person.

Ages 16-to-22 prices from £3.04 per match

Last season we introduced a new age bracket available only as a season ticket for young adults between the ages of 16 and 22. This new category is part of our drive to offer young supporters affordable entry to support their local football club.

This season ticket allowed fans of these ages to watch matches in all standing areas for just £3.04 per game and £4.10 per game in seating sections.

The ticket will remain in place for the 2020/21 campaign.

The return of the 1887 Red Army

The popular singing section in the Colin Farmer Stand will return for the 2020/21 season.

Previously positioned in Block 7 of the stand, for the 2020/21 season the singing section will be hosted in Block 1.

By moving the singing section to this area of the stadium it'll mean the singers can remain in this section for all home matches and removes the need to move into the Speedy Skips Stand when requested for matches involving large away followings.

As it’s positioned adjacent to the Speedy Skips Stands it will bring together the home fans to help build on the growing atmosphere on a matchday at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Supporters that currently sit in Block 1 and 2 should be aware of this change at the point of renewal and can be relocated if required.

FAQs

When is football going to be coming back?

As of Friday 24 July it has been announced by the EFL that the new season will begin on Saturday 12 September.

What is the situation with refunds if fans aren't allowed into games?

Supporters will be able to claim a refund for matches played behind closed doors due to covid-19. Refunds will be issued at the end of the season due to the uncertainty of the next 12 months. The club will communicate with each season ticket holder to make them aware of any issues with matches having to be played behind closed doors. We thank those supporters who donated the remaining portion of their 2019/20 tickets, and will offer the same ability in the event of supporters not being able to attend in 2020/21.

Who can buy a season ticket?

Season tickets are only available to renew for existing season ticket holders until Friday 7 August (5pm) when a decision will be made on other sales dependent on EFL and Government advice on crowd capacities. Season tickets will only go on general sale if we are able to accommodate more supporters once the renewals period has finished.

How do I buy a season ticket?

All 2019/20 season ticket holders have been sent an email with instructions on how to renew. If you have not received this email, or we have an incorrect address listed for you, please contact tickets@ctfc.com and we will be in touch with the details.

Is there an early bird price?

We are offering renewals at the same price as last season’s Early Bird discount. If we are able to sell new season tickets these will be at the same price as last year’s full price.

What measures are the club going to take on a matchday?

The club are working with all the authorities to ensure measures are in place ahead of the start of the new season. As with many entertainment venues the ground may have a different look and feel in the first instance with one way systems in place. We will communicate with all supporters closer to the start of the season with further updates.

Can I sit next to my family at games?

We are currently looking into designating seating together for families who qualify as being in the same bubble.

We have seats together but when I log in only one is showing?

Each seat will be in a different name, so will require a separate login to purchase.

Will I be able to sit in my usual seat?

There is a possibility because of the measures we are having to put in for social distancing that you won’t be guaranteed your usual seat. We are still waiting on further guidance but will do our best to ensure you’re seated where you normally like to sit where possible.

Can I buy season tickets in person at the ticket office?

We are encouraging everyone to renew their season ticket online. We appreciate that not everyone may be able to renew online and we are contacting our season ticket holders without email addresses to book an appointment to visit the ticket office to renew. Please note that the ticket office will not be open for general drop in but on an appointment process only. Please email tickets@ctfc.com if you would like to book an appointment.

Is it possible to buy tickets on a matchday?

We do not anticipate on the day sales for the initial matches of the season, so renewing your season ticket is your best way of ensuring you will be able to attend matches at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium. When on the day sales are able to resume, ticket prices will increase on matchdays, but will be available at a same rate if bought online in advance.

Is there a leaflet to download with season ticket information?

We have not produced a leaflet on season tickets for the 2020/21 season as information is changing on a regular basis and could potentially go out of date quickly. We advise supporters to keep an eye on the club website and social media channels for updates and information.

Do I get a free shirt with the under-16 season ticket?

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be able to offer a shirt with your season ticket this season. The new home shirt is available to purchase online from our club shop.

What is the breakdown for different age categories?

Under-16 prices apply for those who have been born after 1 September 2004. The 16 to 22 age category applies to those born between 1 September 1997 and 31 August 2004. Over 65s apply to those born before 1 January 1956.

I had a season ticket in the family section of the Colin Farmer Stand Block 1, where is the family section going to be now?

With the singing section now positioned in Block 1 of the Colin Farmer Stand the family section for season ticket holders will be Block C of the Autovillage Stand.

How do I update my details if they have changed with the ticket office?

Send an email to tickets@ctfc.com with any new details you need to let us know about and we will update the records we have on hold for you. There is a responsibility for you to ensure we have your correct email details.

Will I be able to watch any games I can’t attend online?

We are currently awaiting more information regarding the use of iFollow to stream matches. The EFL are set to meet this week to discuss this.
