Max Sheaf got his name on the scoresheet for a second time in League Two this season and for the second game in a row in Cheltenham's 3-1 win over Walsall on Saturday.

The talented attack minded midfielder scored the opener from a Chris Hussey low ball into the box to help Michael Duff's side on their way to consecutive victories.

It's a result that sees the Robins sit in the automatic promotion places ahead of big back-to-back fixtures against Crewe Alexandra and Bradford City on the road in the remainder of this month.

"The first half for me it was good to get on the ball a lot and to try and link up play and do a job for the team," Sheaf said.

"The team was top drawer today. I think second half we were camped in for a few periods of the game. I think we rode the storm and dealt with it well.

"The gaffer is really clear in what he wants us to do. I think the whole team knows that and the whole team is learning about each other every day and has learnt already a lot.

"We know where certain players are going to be, certain strengths, and play into each others strengths and I think that's causing a lot of problems for a lot of teams at the moment."

Next up for Sheaf and his teammates is a trip to fourth place Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

You can buy tickets and away travel for a big game at The Alexandra Stadium from the ticket office this week on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 10am and 3pm.
