Ben Tozer was left frustrated by how events unfolded in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra.

The Robins skipper saw his team come out on the wrong side of a tight battle at The Alexandra Stadium, in what was Cheltenham's first League Two defeat since the opening month of the season.

He believed his side missed two big opportunities to push in front in the opening 45 minutes.

Chances that would ultimately cost his team as Crewe managed to seal a second half winner through Perry Ng.

"First half we've had two great chances and unfortunately we haven't taken them," he said.

"Second half we weren't quite at it and you could sense it in the game, we were kind of playing 1-0 down football really - waiting to go 1-0 down before we reacted and that's what happened.

"It is hard when you can sense that in a game as to what to do. You try and get the information round to everyone but as to what to do it can be hard in the emotion of the game.

"It's very frustrating that we've come away with a defeat but we've got to move on very quickly."
