Loan move for goalkeeper Lovett

10 January 2020

Rhys Lovett has joined Southern Premier South side Tiverton Town on loan.

The 22-year-old, who featured as a second half substitute in place of the injured Scott Flinders in last Saturday's 3-0 win over Oldham Athletic, returns to a Tiverton side he spent time on loan with during the 2015/16 season.

He is available for their home match against Poole Town on Saturday.

As a result of Lovett's loan transfer, second year scholar Freddie Lapworth has been recalled from his loan spell at Southern League Division One Central outfit North Leigh.

Lapworth and new loan signing Owen Evans are now Cheltenham's available goalkeepers ahead of Saturday's home clash with Walsall, with Scott Flinders out until the end of the season with a fractured tibia and fibula injury.
