With a successful Cheltenham Town debut now out of the way, new goalkeeper Owen Evans will represent the Robins for the first time in an away fixture this Saturday at Crewe Alexandra.

Evans played his part in a 3-1 win over Walsall at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium in his first appearance since joining the club on loan from Wigan Athletic until the end of the season.

This weekend he'll be looking to help Michael Duff's side make it 12 unbeaten away from home in what is all set to be a stern test against fourth place Crewe - who sit behind the Robins only on goal difference.

"Both teams have got good players, good sides, home form and away form - all of that comes into consideration when there's two good teams in the league coming together," Evans said.

"Overall we're very confident as a group and we're looking forward to the challenge on Saturday."

This week has also given the 23-year-old an opportunity to bed in more to the club and to the town as he gears up for the next few months in Cheltenham.

"Last week I had Thursday and Friday which was a sped up process trying to get involved," he added.

"It was a very hectic week but this week I've settled in. I've moved down here properly so I'm settled in with the lads definitely more.

"It's been a good start to the week so far so hopefully now we can carry it on into Saturday."
