Reuben Reid echoed the thoughts of manager Michael Duff following Saturday's 1-0 loss on the road at Scunthorpe United.

The experienced striker has called for an improvement throughout the squad after he felt the team's strong idendity didn't show in the loss at The Sands Venue Stadium.

It was his first game back in League Two action since an injury spell that's ruled him out since mid-December and he featured as a second half substitute in Lincolnshire, eventually playing a central role in a front four Cheltenham ended the game with.

"Nothing came did it?" he said post-match. "We huffed and we puffed but there was no real quality or assertiveness in anything we tried to do.

"It wasn't just the last 30 minutes, it was pretty much throughout the whole 90 minutes.

"It's a disappointing day obviously. We came here in good spirits and we are going back down the road with nothing so it's a hard one to take."

Next up for the Robins is a trip to Carlisle United on Tuesday evening. Tickets and away travel for the game at Brunton Park are available on Tuesday morning from the ticket office.
