Tom Nichols made his first Cheltenham Town appearance on Saturday in the team's 2-1 win over Morecambe.
The deadline day arrival came off the bench for his Robins debut at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
He was part of a team that held on to make it three consecutive home victories with a 2-1 win against Morecambe, with the Robins now looking forward to back-to-back away trips to Scunthorpe United and Carlisle.
"It was a tough second half, they put us under a lot of pressure, but the back lads dug in really well and we kept the three points," he said.
"First half we were pretty much in control - we deserved the two goals I thought.
"They scored a goal and then it was backs against the walls.
"They said they've played a lot better than that so I think they've got a great chance. We've just got to keep getting the three points and we've got a few games in hand as well so if we can pick up wins there we've just got to keep up the good form."

He'll be hoping to be part of the Robins squad when they travel to Scunthorpe United on Saturday 8 February next.
