Boss Michael Duff made it perfectly clear to his players that he expects a lot more from them when it comes to their next League Two outing.

John McAtee's first half goal saw the Robins slip to a rare defeat at Scunthorpe United's The Sands Venue Stadium in a 1-0 loss.

Despite winning at home to Morecambe last week Duff believed it was another below par showing from his team, who despite having a couple of chances to earn something from the contest, couldn't find a way through against a resolute Scunny outfit.

"We weren't good enough to win the game," Duff said. "Not one player turned up today which has not been like us the last two weeks in a row now.

"We got away with it last week. I just told the players we used the credit up last week and got what we deserved today.

"They fought more than us - end of story. I didn't think there was a lot of quality in the game full stop.

"The first two minutes we had a chance, we did what we worked on, and then we came away from it.

"Yes it was windy and it is a difficult pitch but there are no excuses for that. We need to do more than that."

The next test for his side comes on Tuesday with a trip to Carlisle United. Kick-off against the Cumbrians is at 7.45pm.

Fans can purchase tickets and away travel for the journey from the ticket office on Tuesday morning, with the coach leaving at 12.30pm in the afternoon.
