Chris Clements is getting set to welcome one of his former clubs to the Jonny-Rocks Stadium on Saturday when Mansfield Town come to Gloucestershire.
Clements spent a number of seasons with last season's play-off semi-finalists, helping them regain promotion to the Football League.
The Stags haven't kicked on as they would have liked this season having just narrowly missed out on automatic promotion last term, and despite their lowly position in the League Two table, Clements knows they have the talent to attempt to derail Cheltenham's own promotion hopes this weekend.
"You've got to look at them as the team that they are," he said. "The position that they're in they definitely shouldn't be there with the players that they've got.
"It's another home game for us where we should go into it confident. Then again they have players that can affect games.
"Them coming in off the win last week they're going to be confident as well. We've got to match them with our running and then hopefully play a bit and hopefully get the resut."
