Reuben Reid felt Cheltenham Town failed to bounce back from the setbacks in Tuesday's Papa John's Trophy tie with Portsmouth.
The Robins exited the competition against the defending champions, slumping to a 3-0 loss at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.
Front man Reid believed there wasn't enough quality in the Cheltenham performance to affect the end result with Pompey progressing into the final 16 of this year's competition.
