Preview: Duff on Portsmouth

8 December 2020

Michael Duff feels his team will be up against it tonight against one of the remaining leading lights in this season's Papa John's Trophy but is looking forward to a "free hit" when Portsmouth come to town.

It's the knockout stages of this year's competition and Cheltenham host League One Pompey at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium this evening with tickets on general sale up until 4.30pm today for fans to buy in advance of kick-off.

Duff's team have performed excellently in the competition so far taking nine points out of a possible nine in the group stages, topping the group, and not conceding a goal too.

He is well aware though of the threat Portsmouth carry this evening though. They will travel with an experienced EFL manager in Kenny Jackett and currently are fourth in League One.

The former Premier League side are also looking forward to playing in the delayed final of last season's competition against Salford City, having already held the title following their success in the 2019 final at Wembley.

Check out Duff's pre-match thoughts by watching his press conference looking ahead to the match above on iFollow and on the EFL iFollow app.

Tickets are on sale online for tonight's game up until 4.30pm. They can also be purchased from the ticket office during the day today.

They cannot be bought on the night - all tickets must be purchased in advance.
